Skin Cancer
We all see the notes that say Cancer Sucks, and quite frankly it does. I have been cancer free for about 5 years now. I was lucky, I just had basal cell cancer which is a relatively non-threatening form of skin cancer. But when you have it on your face (luckily the side of my face) and have to have surgery it is still scary! Maybe at some point I will write about my surgery to share my experience as I had the best experience possible (I think) given the situation.
It was shortly after my surgery when I thought I really wanted to explore the natural skin care world. After all I don’t really wear makeup, I am simple, I like things natural so why not extend that to what I put on my skin as well. I could not find what I was looking for. I couldn’t find anything simple – I don’t know why it is so important to me to keep it simple but I honestly believe if you can find a few ingredients that do what you need them to you don’t need to put anything else in there. I also think that more isn’t always better. I also couldn’t find anything that didn’t break the bank. I was surprised that I couldn’t find simple and affordable.
At that point I just started using almond and grape seed oil mixed with Lavender on my face and body while I researched ingredients and oils. Then I started putting things together to create what I wanted for my skin that I couldn’t find and decided I wanted to put it out there and see if anyone else was interested in the same thing. High quality, simple, natural, basic, clean, and affordable skin care.
Let me know what you think about skin care and if you happen to try us out, I would love to know what you think about the products as well.
Blessed be!
